Analysis of Iron man

Analysis of Iron man:

In this scene there are many elements that support the fact that it's a Action/Adventure movie. Firstly, the use of futuristic technology is a important convention an Action/Adventure genre, furthermore its also conventional to a Sc-Fi genre. Secondly, the most straight forward way we can tell is the fight between 'Iron man' and 'Iron Monger' whom were the antagonist and protagonist of the movie 'Iron man', it was very simple in discovering the hero and villain as the 'Iron Monger' was a copyright of the 'Iron man' we can separate both from each other as the 'Iron Monger' had dark, grey and heavy-armored weapons which is a connotation to death, evil, and mystery, on the other hand 'Iron man' having yellow and red colors which are antonyms to each other, yellow is associated to happiness and energy, whilst red is associated danger, blood and war however both colors are associated to energy linking back to the 'Iron man' suit that generates infinite sustainable energy.

There were many shot techniques used in this scene as it is most effective during battles or fights, the audience usually concentrate on the action rather than how it's presented through the camera techniques. The most common shot used in this scene is a long shot, this was first used at the start of the video where Tony Stark's personal assistant is trying to find the antagonist and stop him linking back to a bit of romance between both of them,furthermore there was a fatal use of a shallow focus, this is used as it shows her trying her best to find him as well as her being alone at that point linking her to be venerable to the massive, destructive  and frightening 'Iron monger'. After Pepper sees the 'Iron monger' there is a sudden change to a over the shoulder shot showing the bright white eyes of the Iron monger at a high angle linking back to Pepper being vulnerable to him. Once again there was an immediate change to a P.O.V. (Point Of View) shot, this was from the Iron mongers point of view, we could see Pepper running away from the screen as well as the computer trying to identify who she is, this can be told as there is a red circle on her targeting her face, red is a connotation to war and death meaning he is trying to successfully  attack her.

The sound was fully synchronous with the action, for example when Iron man blasts from the sky and hits the massive Iron monger and takes him to the streets, the audience expected car crashes as well as cars being thrown linking back to the genre being Action/Adventure, as this was happening there was the constant sound of metal as well as loud car horns.

There was a lot of editing in this scene but was very fate to the audience however we can interpret that it was impossible to carry a car further more Iron man blasting from the air and hitting the Iron monger. There was also green screen used for the cars and road.
