In this scene there are many elements that show it's conventional to an action/adventure genre for example the Iron man suit referring to technology in the future making it a convention of an action genre as well as being an element of a SC-FI genre. There were a few camera techniques used in this scene for example a Mid-shot including Tony stark, P.O.V. shot showing Tony Stark reading the newspaper of him being dead linking back to the previous scene of the Mandarin attack, over the shoulder shot with the boys back towards the audience this shows the comparison between both characters ie. Tony being older than him as well as being more experienced.
The color scheme has many colors however the main ones are red and yellow which is a connotation to blood, death and hope, linking back to the denotation of the Iron man being destroyed / damaged in hope to fixing it back to go back home. During the whole scene there is no empty silence you can always hear diegetic sound's for example: the cracked wooded floor, I assume it was achieved by a Foley artist as its a very delicate sound it cannot be registered by the camera, the metal bending sound when the boy is turning the Iron man suit's head.
During the whole scene the volume of dialogue changed a lot for example: at the start the boy shouting out 'Oh my god...' was very loud as he moves toward Tony Stark his voice goes lower and lower as though he's moving further away from the audience. There was a dramatic change when he gets to Tony and hands him the newspaper of him being dead during the Mandarin attack. As well as being a action/ adventure movie this scene contains a small part of comedy, during the conversation between both Tony and the boy for example, this keeps the audience entertained also a bit of curiosity as the audience might associate it to something bad happening in the next scene.
